Who says baby girls have to wear just pink or purple? When I saw this cornflower blue yarn at Webs last month, I thought it was so pretty. I also thought the cotton/viscose blend of the Queensland Hyacinth yarn would be good for a light summer baby sweater. I used the pattern for the sweater in this sweater set and extended the sleeves a bit. I absolutely love the shell design on the cuffs and the bottom of the sweater! The pattern was really simple and worked up fast. For my first crochet sweater, I’m really happy with how it came out.
It’s absolutely GORGEOUS!!! As you know, blue is my favorite color ~ and we dressed Meredith in blue *quite* often! LOVE this sweater. I cannot believe that you *just* started crocheting and are already making sweaters!!! It looks perfect for summertime. You are *so* talented. Feel free to make Meredith (or me) a sweater sometime, LOL! 🙂 Just kidding!
Wow, you are amazing. I ditto everything Lisanne said. Especially the part about feeling free to make others sweaters.
I totally agree. And that is a lovely sweater.
omg that is sooooo cute… Lore had a lot of blue stuff in that shade… loved it on her…
This is so cute! Granted, we have a ton of blue around our house with out little boy (and soon to be second little boy!) but it doesn’t get tiring! I love the cuff detail!
I’ve been searching and searching, lately, for a simple little baby blue, knit or crocheted baby hat for newborns, but can’t find anything in the stores! I envy your skills with the needles; I’m terrible at crocheting or knitting! 🙂
Best,
Sarah
