Well, it’s been a while since I participated in HHM, so I thought I would go ahead today. I’ve pretty much caught up with my to-do list, made a batch of black bean and orzo salad this week, made some cretons, and dinner is prepped.
The weather:::
It’s kind of cloudy out there now, but the sun occasionaly breaks through. It’s not warm, but not cool — kind of an odd in-between. Sadly, it looks like we are in for a cooler week, and I am especially unhappy about that because I wanted to have Laura’s First Communion party outside on Saturday, but I’m not sure that will happen.
On my reading pile:::
I’ve got two books to start. I’ve been on the waiting this forever for these, and of course they arrive during a super busy time!
The Cozy Life: Rediscover the Joy of the Simple Things Through the Danish Concept of Hygge
Movies or Shows I watched this weekend:::
Drew and I finished “Better Call Saul” last night and it was soooo good.
On my TV:::
iZombie
The Seven Five (want to watch)

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
I feel like I’ve lost my crafting mojo. I want to crochet, but I’m really not sure what to make. So I’ve just been reorganizing all my patterns, trying to find some inspiration. There are a million projects I want to start (cocoon sweater, Open Air Market Scarf, finish up any one of my UFOs… I just can’t commit for some reason. All else fails, there are always dishcloths, just to keep my hands busy. I think I may start one tonight and see if I can get inspired.
Looking around the house:::
Things are not too bad around the house because I’ve been trying to keep things under control. I don’t have a lot of extra time this week and I don’t want to freak out over the house not being ready for Saturday.
From the camera:::
What I’m wearing today:::
Jeans and a tee-shirt. Pretty standard!
One of my simple pleasure:::
Seeing flowers start to bloom. It is amazing to me that these plants keep coming back, no matter how hard the winter. (Something to think about, I suppose). I was also really happy to see new baby growth on my lavender plant. This is, I think, the third year that I’ve had it! Maybe I’ll get another one — or maybe I shouldn’t press my luck 😉
Your sand cherry is gorgeous. Such delicate colors that typify Spring! Your challenge with getting started with craft projects is the same one I’m having. Lots of projects to do – and I know I’d enjoy doing them and seeing them complete. It’s just the motivation to get going and do them. 🙂
Beautiful photo. I love anything with orzo – I had to Google cretons. Have a great week.
Beautiful sand cherry, I bet it smells amazing too 🙂
I remember last year when I lost my crochet mojo and I just couldn’t back into it, I tried and tried and nothing. I finally just picked up the hooks and yarn and picked a pattern from my list of *wanna make* and went for it. Now I can’t seem to stop lol
Have a wonderful week Carol 🙂
Beautiful blooms! I just recently finished Better Call Saul season 2, that last episode..wow. Now I’m impatient for season 3. Netflix problems, LOL. Hope you are having a great week and that the weather warms up and is wonderful for your Saturday!
