Want to know a dirty little work secret? Sometimes I’ll place a hold on a book before I buy it for our library so I get it first. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone!
Lol! In this case, no other patrons from my library had placed a hold, so I don’t feel too guilty. Have you read this one yet? I’m so curious about it!

You guys, I am sorry for the lame posts the last few days, I have just been so busy during the day and by the time I think about blogging I am just wiped out. Honestly I barely even have a meal plan this week because Drew is travelling for work and I have barely even considered it. I’m throwing some ideas together but… I may very well just be throwing dinners together, LOL. I’ll see how the week goes.
Friday night there is a dance, and my daughter is going and then her friend is sleeping over afterwards. Saturday, Drew and Noah will be in the city — Noah has his audition for Berklee. Thankfully no plans for Sunday, so hopefully it can be a day to relax!
Hope you all have a great week!

Wishing you a relaxing Sunday night and a wonderful week ahead!
Cold enough for ya? LOL! It sure was today. When I went downstairs at 7 it was -8 degrees! Now, I enjoy winter and cold weather, but it was really, really cold. But by the time I went out this afternoon it had gone up to a whopping 15 degrees! And of course, tomorrow it’s going to be almost 50. Just crazy. Did it get super cold where you live today?

I am SO GLAD this day is over! Ugh… to a better weekend ahead!

Did I just remember we still had peppermint stick ice cream and mini lava cakes leftover from Christmas in the basement freezer?
You bet I did! I’m totally going to enjoy it while watching a couple episodes of That 90s Show.

Happy February to all! First, I would just like to say that I am thrilled I have kept up with the Blog365 challenge for an entire month! Congrats to all the other ladies who have kept up with the posting as well. Even if it’s just a quick pop in for accountability, I feel good making this a habit again.
I decided to give my blog a little seasonal refresh as well — pink and flowers, how can you go wrong?
There wasn’t too much for excitement today. I ran errands in the morning, per usual. When I got home I started chicken noodle soup (Laura asked for that over the lentil soup, so I obliged) and threw the ingredients for Southwestern Chicken in the Crock Pot. I also did make some banana bread, so I am looking forward to a slice for breakfast in the morning!
Noah was done with play rehearsal early, so I had to run down to the school and get him mid-afternoon. Then a little later I headed over for a quick meeting with our new priest. He is scheduling meetings with all the religious ed parents to check in and see how things are going (he has really changed the program this year, and for the better in my opinion). So that went well and then I saw a couple friends so we chatted for a minute.
Drew had been in an all-afternoon company meeting and was itching to get out, so he convinced me that I wanted take-out so he could go and get it. (OK, it didn’t take much convincing — by the time I got home around 6 I really didn’t feel like making rice and chopping up stuff for burrito bowls). Now dinner is prepped for tomorrow (just need to do the chopping and rice-making — but at least I’ll be home at my usual time).
All in all, a good day!
