What an amazing Teaswap partner

Knitters' Teaswap 3 Package (plus teacup in other photo) Drew called me at work yesterday to let me know I had a package waiting for me. I thought it might be my KTS package from Natalie and I was right! Natalie totally outdid herself and I could not believe how generous she was! Let’s just say that I can’t wait until the boys are in bed tonight so I can enjoy some tea and some of the delcious treats she sent me. Let’s run it down, shall we?

Beautiful tea cup Let’s start with this teacup. I absolutely love this! The color reminds me of dishes my mom had when we were kids. (I believe the pattern was Corelle’s Spring Blossom Green). There’s something about it that is vintagey, and yet sleek at the same time. There’s something about great cups that make drinking tea an extra special experience. I think I have a new favorite cup!

Goodies! Next, onto the treats! Teas, lots and lots of teas! We have Genmail Cha green tea; Adagio’s Keemun Concerto, Yunnan Gold, Assam Harmony, and Darjeeling #1; and a fantastic Peet’s Tea sampler (which is local to her). She also sent along a box of teabags to use with the loose tea. This is perfect because I can take the bags to work (I’d rather not put my IngenuiTEA in the scary microwave there). Then there is a box of ginger snaps, a package of Japanese ginger cookies (which I’ll be breaking into tonight!), mango chews, and a Ghirardelli Toffee Interlude bar. YUM!

KTS yarn details And finally the fiber! Wow. Just… wow! Two hanks of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport in the Tuscany colorway which is simply gorgeous. This yarn might actually get me to give sock knitting another try. I can just imagine the beautiful socks this would create and how great it would look with jeans and clogs in the fall. There was also a ball of Hempathy in a fantastic shade of blue that makes me think of a robin’s egg. This will be fun to work with. Natalie also made me a beautiful set of stitchmakers. How talented is this woman? So crafty.

The best part of the whole swap though was being paired up with such a cool person! I’ve loved getting to know Natalie through her blog; she’s someone I’d love to hang out with in real life. I just feel like we’d click! So thanks so much, my friend! I am overwhelmed, and so appreciative of everything!
