Super Savings Saturday: CVS

cvs229.jpgIt’s been a while since I made a CVS run and when I discovered that I accidentally let $3.00 in ECBs expire, I wanted to make sure I spent the rest of my ECBs which expire in a couple days. That’s money earned! I was so angry that I let some go to waste. But live and learn, right? I did OK, I guess, but I’m sure with a little more time and effort I could have done better. The cotton balls were a mistake. I thought they were buy one/get one half off, but the sign must have been referring to something else. Oh well. I needed them anyway. I also could have taken advantage of the other candy deal in order to get $5 in ECBs, but the Mini Eggs are just so much better! (Of course, when I got the new flyer last week and saw that they will be on sale for 99 cents instead of the $1.88 I paid again I could have kicked myself. Still, the price I paid was a bargain compared to the price at Stop & Shop.) So… I ended up getting 2 bags of cotton balls, 3 bags of Cadbury Mini Eggs (for the boys’ Easter baskets), 2 cans of cashews (a treat for Drew), 1 bottle of hand soap, 1 bottle of shower gel, 1 deodorant (with bonus travel size!), and a card for $4.25 out of pocket. That’s still pretty darn good — probably the regular price of one container of cashews! I got back $2 in ECBs.

Is that “Pure Cashmere” stuff good? You’ll have to let me know. I’m constantly amazed by what you get at CVS! So many cool bargains! I’m not ready for Easter yet, hehe 🙂 I just spent like $50 at CVS the other day ~ oops!

Lisanne, I think the Pure Cashmere is OK. Smells vaguely like Play-Dough, which while not expected, is not entirely offensive, either. LOL… Didn’t like it as much as I thought I would, but hey — it does the job!
