Earlier today I was researching payroll software for small businesses and was suprised how many different kinds there are out there. I’m vaguely familiar with some of the big names, but that’s about it. Some of the smaller brands seem just as good and are probably just as easy to use. I’m glad I’m just the one who was asked to look into it, though, and not the person who has to do payroll, LOL!

Don’t go with ADP if that’s even a possibility. They are terrible for the payroll person, believe me, they are a nightmare. I am the backup payroll person and the main person and I shared the hell of having them as our payroll service for 17 months.
