One Month

That would be one month left on the contract we have with our realtor. The other day a real estate agent showed up a bit early and caught me before I’d left. I had to laugh because he wanted to know where our septic tank was located because it was of the “utmost importance” to his clients that they are able to put in an inground pool. I’m sorry — an inground pool is of the “utmost importance?” Not schools, not taxes, not even square footage. I had to do everything I could to keep from busting out laughing because the soil is incredibly rocky. If you’ve been to our house, you’ve seen the giant rock/ledge at the end of our driveway. I was honest and told him this. When our house was built they had to do some significant blasting in order to dig the cellar hole. So yeah… not sure an inground pool would happen. And even if it could, good luck getting a permit from the town. They are very anti-development of any kind (which I don’t understand, but I don’t need to get into it). At any rate, no surprise, they weren’t interested in the house. But only because there was noplace for a pool. Sigh…

  1. It would be *quite* a task to install an inground pool on your property. Oh yeah, it’s ROCKY. Our yard is rocky, too, but nothing like yours! I’m so sorry that you’re having such realtor troubles, but … me being selfish, I’m *so* glad that you’re HERE still! hehe 🙂
