Wow, what a whirlwind of a weekend. I spend the majority of it up in western Mass. Saturday night was my future sister-in-law’s bachelorette party, and Sunday was the bridal shower. Fun was had by all! Saturday we went to the HuKe Lau in Chicopee for the Polynesian show. Originally we were going to see Charlie Murphy, but the show was postponed until November. There was a Chinese buffet so I did the best with what I had. I loaded up on the stir-fry veggies (I know the sauce isn’t great, but it was one of the healthier options there), and had just a taste of other things I would have loaded up on before: fried rice, General Tso’s chicken, chicken fingers, boneless spare ribs, etc. I thought I did well. Lots of hysterical drunk people, though. The place has an extensive fruity drink menu, so that is no surprise! I think K. had a good time, and that is what matters 🙂
Yesterday was the shower and despite some terrible service, it was a lovely day. She looked very pretty and received loads of great gifts! But unwrapping them all really is a lot of work! For food it was a brunch buffet: quiche, French toast, sausage, ham, potatoes, patries, and fruit. It was all delicious! I am sure she is exhausted today. I ended up going right home after the shower instead of to hang out with her and Mike. I wonder if they even made a dent in getting everything put away!
Dent ?!?!?! UGH … lots to put away .. Right now they are all in their new home in the den!! they will be there for a while.
