Another Monday

Another weekend is over and here we are on Monday again! Of course for me, weekdays and weekends kind of merge since I work on Saturdays and am off on Wednesdays. Sometimes I think I’d like to have a full weekend off, but then when Wednesday comes around I’m glad I have that mid-week break. Might not work for everyone, but for me right now I don’t mind it.

Time for Sandra’s Happy Homemaker Monday.

~ The weather ~
It’s been rainy and cool (high 60s) today and I LOVE IT! Such a wonderful feeling after several days of temperatures in the 90s. I am not a fan of summer.

~ Right now I am ~
I got home from work, vacuumed and washed the floors, and now I’m about to get dinner started.

~ On my reading pile ~
Even though I often field questions about Overdrive, sometimes I forget how easy and convenient it is to borrow ebooks and audiobooks! So this weekend I took some time to browse around and picked a few.

Audiobook:
I started this one yesterday and it’s very sad.

eBook

Hoping to start this one tonight. I am feeling like a good thriller.

~ Movies or Shows I watched this weekend ~
Honestly, I didn’t watch much TV except for a few episodes of iZombie.

~ On my TV ~
When the boys were at camp I binged watched the lasted seasons of “Criminal Minds” and “American Crime,” so right now we’re just working out way through “iZombie” season 3 and then I think we are going to start “Ozark.”

~ What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating ~
Still plugging along on my Atlanticus blanket. It was so hot and humid last week, though, that I couldn’t bear having that heavy project on my lap. Hoping to pick it back up this week as well as make some new dishcloths. I was inspired by the new Farmhouse home dec line at Michael’s and love the burlap-colored tea towels so I grabbed some red, blue, and tan cotton to make dishcloths for the kitchen.

~ Looking around the house ~
The floors are clean! But I have several piles of laundry to deal with. Boo.

~ From the camera ~
The rain this morning gave me the opportunity to wear my new boots!

~ What I’m wearing today ~
Still wearing my work clothes: gray ankle pants, black and pink polka-dot blouse.

~ One of my simple pleasures ~
Adding a few drops of essential oil to my steam cleaner. I love the fresh scent!
