Free Hourly Stickers for your EC Vertical

Well it’s been quite a while since I offered up a printable, and it’s one of my blogging goals for the year to start creating more, so here is my first set for 2017!

This year I went back to a Vertical Erin Condren Planner after using the Hourly for almost a year. Lately I’ve found myself missing the structure of the hourly, probably because we are entering a very busy season of life and I feel like sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day! I considered purchasing another Hourly planner, but thought better of it because really, that would be wasteful and I’m not sure I want to commit to that format again in the long-term. The solution? Simply making my own 8 a.m.-8 p.m. hourly stickers that fit over two of the daily boxes!

Here’s an example of how I am using them:

I like the idea of having the hourly section, but also having that blank space underneath. In this example, I simply put down some MAMBI “To Do” checklist stickers, but you could use it for notes, meal planning, whatever works for you. Hope you enjoy this freebie!

While I definitely love using cute, decorative stickers in my planner, basic functional stickers are my go-to. They add pops of color, but also draw attention to important events or notes. One way to make a basic box a little more exciting is simply by making the edges scalloped. I created these myself in bright, cheerful colors.

The width is 1.5-inches, so it is a perfect size for the EC Vertical layout. It also works well in the hourly and I’m pretty sure they will fit the MAMBI Happy Planner, too.

Planner Freebie | Banner Event Labels

Happy Monday! It’s been a while since I got a planner freebie up here and today I was reworking some of the stickers that I love to use in my own Erin Condren planner, so I thought I would share.

This time of year is always crazy with school concerts, field trips, appointments, and various activities. Add to that my work schedule (I am back to working part time at a local library), and just all the usual everyday things that need tending to and it doesn’t leave much time to decorate my planner. I’ve been relying on my two favorite labels: the colorblock hourly stickers and these banner event stickers. In the hourly planner, they take up approximately an hour’s worth of time. Of course, they would also work in other planners, too! I used colors that coordinate with the current EC hourly and horizontal scheme (though I think it will be slightly different for the 2016-2017 editions).

2017 Erin Condren Life Planner Sneak Peak

Can you hear me singing, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year?” OK, that’s a bit of an exaggeration but I always get excited for the launch of the new line of Erin Condren planners. I have been using an EC since 2011 and over the years there have been many changes and many additions. This year is no exception, so let’s get on with it, shall we?

First of all, I think the biggest change is the addition of a neutral color scheme option. If you work in a professional environment, the blacks and grays will definitely look slick. (But there’s also just that hint of color, so it’s not boring.) Also, this choice is great for people who love to decorate (me!), but don’t always want to match the pre-selected color scheme. For example, in my currently hourly planner the month of July has a green color scheme, but I’m going to want to do red, white, and blue the week of 4th of July, so I’m going to have to cover every bit of green. If I go with a neutral next year, I can do what I want! And what about that handlettered font? This one just might be calling my name…

Of course, there is still an option for bright, cheerful colors. I’m not in love with the watercolor splash along the top. I know it is very trendy right now, but it seems a little 80s to me. Probably because I am old enough to remember them, LOL! Also, as you can see in both colorway photos, there are three options for layouts: classic vertical, horizontal, and hourly. Currently I have an hourly planner, but as I have gone “back to basics” I’m once again considering a horizontal. I have plenty of time to decide, though, since my current planner runs through the end of the year.

Another change this year is you can choose your coil: silver, gold, rose gold, and black. I’m kind of excited about the black coil, but I’m concerned about paint chipping off — this has been an issue for the metallic coils in the past. I am also a curious what the upcharge will be.

Now, let’s talk about covers. There are so many new covers this year, including several new metallics. In addition to these Life Planner covers, there are some new designs from the launch of the Teacher Planner. I have no idea how I’m going to choose! Good thing they are interchangeable so I can pick several!

TGIF and Happy April to you! I am still trying to catch up from Spring break and Easter weekend, but I am just popping in with a free planner printable for you guys today. It’s been a while since I posted one. But first, I have to tell you today’s exciting news…

I won this week’s #ECFanFriday contest! The theme was “monthly layout.” I rely heavily on my monthly as an overview to help guide my weekly planning, so I was very excited and inspired. I won an e-gift certificate for myself and one for a friend, which was super cool!

One of the stickers I use in my monthly layout, as well as my weekly layout, are these small, 1/4″ event boxes. They fit perfectly, and in the weekly the sticker takes up the space of a half-hour. I created this set using the more muted tones of the hourly and horizontal planners. I find them to be highly functional. Sometimes I’ll put a time in the block of color, or I’ll put the initial of a family member who has something going on (extracurriculars, for example).

They’re simple, but I’ve come to realize that it’s just my style. I hope you enjoy them!

{Planner Freebie} Troop Meeting Planner Stickers

Troop Meeting Planner Stickers | puresugar.net

Oh, I have slacked on getting this free planner printable up, but also blogging in general. So, instead of waiting until yet another Friday I’m just putting them up here today!

Last fall my daughter eagerly joined Daisy Scouts and absolutely loves it. I have been a Cub Scout mom for many years, and now both of my boys are in Boy Scouts, so it really comes as no surprise that she wanted to join in the scouting fun. For a while I was using Daisy Scout stickers that I made to designate meeting times in my planner, but I didn’t love them. So created these troop meeting stickers that will work for all phases of the Girl Scout program.

I like to write the meeting time on the trefoil to make it stand out a little. They are nothing terribly fancy, but they work for me. Hopefully they’ll work for you too! Enjoy!

{Freebie Friday} Cross Event Stickers for Your Planner

 photo Cross Stickers_zpsankch9mj.jpg

Hey guys! I meant to get this free planner printable up last month, but I never got around to it. I’m sorry! I have to say, I love these cross event stickers! I use them in my Erin Condren planner to mark down my kids’ CCD classes, as well as designate church and church-related events. I use them a lot! They’d also be great for Bible study, or really anything Christian-related.

End of January? Already?

Woah, wasn’t it just Christmas? And here we are, the first month of 2016 done and dusted. That’s just crazy. And try as I might to have been a better blogger, well… LOL! We know how that goes. I’m going to attempt something different for February though and try to make blogging part of my evening routine. Hopefully that will help.

I also am going to try to get back on track with my “Freebie Friday.” I’ve had a number of people write and tell me how much they liked what I have up here already, and if I’d consider adding more freebies. How can I say no to that? So I will tell you that I already have this week’s totally free planner sticker printable queued up and ready to publish on Friday morning. I won’t say what it is, but I will say that I use these particular stickers a lot and I am hoping they will be useful for a lot of people!

OK, so what else can I tell you? Things have been moving right along and I have a busy week ahead putting all the finishing touches on our Cub Scout Pack’s Blue & Gold Banquet. So hard to believe that Noah will be serving up the pancake breakfast with the rest of the Boy Scouts a week from today! I think I have everything under control, but I’m sure there will be something that goes askew. There always is.

I have just started playing around with the Silhouette Cameo I got for Christmas. I’ve made a couple sheets of planner stickers, but because my printer really needs the ink changed, and I am really lazy about doing it, I have not done too much with that. Today, however, I attempted my first HTV (heat transfer vinyl) project! I wanted to make a Valentine’s Day-themed shirt for Laura. I wanted to keep things really simple for my first try (i.e., no complicated designs to weed out the extra vinyl). I just purchased an image from the Silhouette store and hoped for the best. It’s not perfect, but she loves it and I was just happy it all basically worked out!

As for crochet, I picked up my Stitchation afghan from two summers ago. I have to get this finished because it is now a thorn in my side. I have invested so much time into it already that I just need to work up the last few squares and put it all together. Also, for February, I’m going to be making a mood scarf. I didn’t purchase the kit because I have a lot of stash yarn, so I will be using that. Tomorrow I’ll share my colors with you! (See? I’m giving myself a reason to blog.)

Untitled

I also, on a whim, because I was in a bad mood the other day and needed shopping therapy (LOL) I purchased on clearance at Michael’s… a Happy Planner. I know, I know! I have been an Erin Condren girl for years. What would possess me to do this, especially since I am pretty happy with the hourly layout I’ve been using since December? Well, I am considering switching for next year because of the disc system and all of the fantastic accessories MAMBI has for this planner. But when I found out that they are releasing a punch (tomorrow, actually), I thought it was a game changer. So, for the $8.00 it cost me, I felt it was worth it to get a feel and see if I really want to jump ship. I’ll be using this planner for February.

Untitled

OK, well this is getting long. January was kind of a blah month. I’ve missed the snow. I have been eating a ton of junk food. And I’m still relying too heavily on my iPhone’s camera. I have some pretty lofty goals for February, but I’m ready for it!

First, I want to give credit to @Jen_Plans on IG. She posted this photo of stickers she made for a RAK, and I loved her event sticker with the banner. I took that idea and created a half-box sticker with the same idea. So thank you, Jen, for the inspiration and I hope you don’t mind me using your idea! Som of the other images are used in accordance with the TOS from Freepik.com. If you enjoy making your own stickers — that’s a resource you should definitely check out!

{Freebie Friday} Trash Day Planner Stickers

Free Trash Day Stickers For Your Planner

Hello, hello and TGIF! Today I have another planner freebie for you. I hope you will be able to use them! A little over a month ago, our sanitation company changed our trash day and there were a couple weeks that I actually forgot to put it out on the curb! I whipped up a page of reminder stickers to print out for myself, and then thought that I’d offer them here, as well.
