I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Ours has been more relaxing than I anticipated. I figured we’d be moving a lot of stuff getting ready for the upstairs renovation, and we did a little, but figured we have a little time yet. So yesterday Jake had his baseball game and I dropped a veggie platter off at church. It’s tradition that the mothers of first grade students make goodies for a reception they have after First Holy Communion. Hard to believe that will be Jake next year! Picking him up from CCD today we saw all the 2nd graders in their little suits and Holy Communion dresses and they were so cute!
Anyway, since Jake had a great game we went out to lunch and did some shopping. At WalMart I actually saw someone wearing a surgical mask. As I said on Facebook, if your fear over swine flu warrants wearing a surgical mask, then perhaps you should stay away from WalMart — especially on a busy Saturday afternoon! Crazy people. While we were there I forgot to look at acne treatments and I meant to. My skin was great for about a month, and ever since the hot weather last week, it’s awful again. I’m all broken out and I don’t know if it’s related to the weather or the pregnancy or what. Hopefully once the baby is born (a month from today!!!) my hormones will level off and my skin won’t be so horrible anymore.
Last night I finished my afghan (post forthcoming) and we watched Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. It’s been so great finally seeing these movies I have been meaning to see for years. Yay for Netflix! This afternoon we had Drew’s mom and aunt over for lunch and had a nice visit. Tonight… we have no plans. Maybe I’ll start a new crochet project, we’ll see.
