But good news for my tastebuds — this weekend a Cold Stone Creamery is opening just down the road from the wine shop. Now, I’ve heard lots of good things about this place, though I’ve never been to one. Just looking at the ice cream on this flyer, though is making about five pounds settle on my hips — yikes! At least it’s far enough away that IÂ couldn’t walk there and back within five minutes. The Ben & Jerry’s that used to be two doors down was very dangerous, especially during the summer. I just could not resist their Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie. I’m sure it is partially responsible for the pounds I packed on towards the end of last year!
Ohhh, Cold Stone ROCKS! The first time that we ever went to one was in Phoenix, AZ. I love how they mix your ice cream for you right there. I ordered a mint chocolate-chip ice cream with crushed up Oreos. Mmm!
all of their creations are awesome… but if you want just GREAT ice cream, get a ‘cake batter’ scoop. It’s the BEST… even plain if you can resist! My favorite creation is banana caramel crunch. *grumbling stomach* We have two CSC within a mile from here. I haven’t had it ONCE since I’ve been pregnant. I might need to go now. haha!
You will pass out from the prices they charge. I am all for splurging on a treat, but I just find the cost of their ice cream offensive. Plus, I always find the promise of the cool flavors to be much better than the actual ice cream, I find it too sweet and fatty tasting. (And hey, I’m all for sugar and fat in my ice cream!) I don’t think it holds a candle to other premium ice creams. Let us know what you think…
